3 DAY LINGERIE MAKING WEEKEND

 

- Introduction to professional Lingerie Making -

Outline of the Class:
This three day intensive lingerie making master class will give students the chance to learn the skills and techniques involved in making knickers and underwired bras.
Each student will make a full set of lingerie during this weekend.

 Students will learn how to work with very fine lingerie fabrics (including specialist trimmings/ laces and power nets)and how to achieve professional finishing techniques.

Friday
Introduction:
Students will be be introduced to a variety of hand and machine sewing techniques and will have the chance to practise these skills on a variety of delicate lingerie materials.

Including:
- how to work with stretch fabrics
- how to calculate elastic trims for lingerie
- how to attach fine laces etc

Each student can choose between a thong or briefs to copy a master pattern and assemble a thong or briefs.

Saturday
Students will finish their thongs or briefs and will learn additional lingerie making techniques in the morning.

- Each student will receive a bra pattern in their own size and can choose from a large selection of high quality laces, lingerie fabrics and silks for their final project.
- Students will be cutting the bra pattern pieces in the choosen fabric and stat sewing the structured bra to match the panties from the previous day.

Sunday
-Students will be guided step-by-step how to sew a structured bra in their individual size
- by the end of the day each student should have a luxury lingerie set to take home & their own individual bra pattern

Each student will receive a list of suppliers by the end of the day.

1day swim wear making intro
or
2day intensive swim-wear-making weekend.
Create your own bikini or bathing suit for this summer and get some tips on professional finishing techniques.
Just join us for our popular 'beginners lingerie day' or '2day bra making weekend' and mentioned that you like to focus on swimwear instead of lingerie.

Depending on previous sewing experience students will assemble one of the above over the weekend.

A basic bikini pattern will be provided during the class, but students are welcome to bring along their own styles or adapt patterns from their own previous swimwear.

(this swimwear weekend will not cover structured/underwired swimwear, this will be covered in advanced classes)

 -1day swim wear making intro-
 The day will focus on: a step by step guide of

- how to use a domestic sewing machine

 - different stitches used in professional garment making with a focus on swimwear

- how to sew with stretch fabrics , attaching swimwear elastics, sewing swimwear straps etc 

-lots more sewing tips and tricks

depending on the progress of each student you will be encouraged to assemble a pair of bikini panties or a bikini top or a basic swimsuit that day.

- 2day intensive swim-wear-making weekend -
Saturday 

-Introduction-
-Students will be guided through a choice of different finishing techniques on swimwear fabrics-

-Copy basic bikini pattern-
(more advanced students can bring along a style to be copied)

 Sunday

-assembling bikini or swim suit with step-by-step guidance-
-attaching embelishments-
-each student will receive a list of suppliers by the end of the day-
