2 DAY BRA MAKING WEEKEND

- Introduction to professional Bra Making -

Outline of the Class:
This two day 'Introduction into bra making' master class will give students the chance to learn professional skills and techniques involved in underwired bra making.

 Students will learn how to work with very fine lingerie fabrics such as high quality laces, pure silks and other specialist fabrics and trimmings to sew a bra in their own size.

Saturday
- Introduction-
Students will be be introduced to a variety of hand and machine sewing techniques and will have the chance to practise these skills on a variety of delicate lingerie materials.

Including:
- how to work with stretch fabrics
- how to calculate elastic trims for lingerie
- how to attach fine laces etc

Each students will receive their own bra pattern to keep and will choose from a large range of high end lingerie supplies to create a unique bra.
 - Students will learn how to cut their pattern pieces in their selected fabrics:
learning how to layout pattern pieces on stretch fabrics&how to match lace fabrics on patterns

Sunday
-Students will be guided step-by-step how to sew a each individual structured bra
including:
- how to make your own bra straps
- how to attach hook&eye tapes
-how to insert bra wires etc

Each student will receive a list of suppliers by the end of the day.
