Corsetry Master Classes



 Evening Corsetry Making Class
Beginners

Outline of the Class:

This intensive 5 evening corsetry master class will give students the chance to learn the skills and techniques involved in traditional corsetry making.

 Students will learn how to create a basic coutil corset and will be introduced to different corset boning techniques and professional finishes.
 The provided pattern is based on a victorian corset. 

 This master class is suitable for students with an interest in lingerie or bridal wear.


- Students should have good sewing skills to attend the above class -

 
- Introduction-
A guidance through a variety of specialist corsetry materials:
Students will see examples of different bonings types:
from historical whale bones,
spiral boning,
steels to modern plastic bonings.
(please note: the displayed authentic whale bones in this class are purely for research purpose)

Students will copy a basic corset pattern and will be guided step-by-step how to put the garment together.
